Northeastern University Transfer Fall 2019

idk that’s weird but how much did you receive if I many ask and what is you’re efc?

@zs2019transfer Thats quite a big jump so I think they will like that if you are a first year transfer your college gpa is a little low but if you took hard classes or youre a second year I think you have a decent shot

@TTTransfer10 I’ve been at my college for 3 years now, I’ve taken many hard courses (Physics 1, Physics 2, all three calculus courses, linear algebra, data structures etc) I have nearly 80 credits but I will not be transferring all of them. I was also working for like 90% of my time here so that hindered my grades a little bit. We’ll see, hoping for a miracle here.

@zs2019transfer Miracle, you sound like a pretty good canidate a 3.4 with those classes and working alot thats pretty good as long as you put that you work that much on youre app you should probably get in

@badblood can you please post or PM me when you hear back?

@TTTransfer10 Unfortunately I did not mention my job on my application. I didn’t think that any school would be interested in my job as a car cleaner lol.

I was kinda hoping I would have a okay chance of getting in cause my gpa is a 3.91 after 51 completed credits (all As and only one B and one A-) I had a 3.7 in highschool and a 1280 SAT but I feel like they look at college more now. I’ve also been on the Dean’s List every semester, I’m kinda feeling a little discouraged after yesterday. Do you guys think I still have a decent chance of getting in?

@dogsrcool
I think you will be fine! My college GPA is a 3.83 and my high school GPA 4.5 (weighted-I took like 8 APs). My SAT is on the low end. I absolutely think you have a shot at getting in: don’t worry.

Can anyone who got accepted see their transfer credits yet?

@ithacalves11 yes, there’s a link on the portal that show classes they have not evaluated before, and that I need to upload descriptions for.

haven’t heard back yet (CCC student)

@zs2019transfer was it on youre resume or in ecs? and if not just tell them

more decisions coming out today?

@dogsrcool I definitely think you still have a chance! I’m a first year and I have a 3.5 gpa from last semester because I got a B in my chemistry class. I also had similar high school grades as you as well. You’re grades are by far better than mine, also if you have a strong essay it should increase your chances as well! Hope this gives you some relief. xoxo

@prayformygrades did you finished all of the recommended courses? I am a first-year student as well

Is anyone else who’s decided to commit trying to set up their myNortheastern portal not able to get in? It keeps saying the page is not found and I’m not sure if it’s a wifi issue on my end or just a problem with the site.

Also, I think someone asked what my EFC is and I’m not sure what it is off hand but I spoke with the financial aid office and they gave me a really good deal that’s about the same as me going in-state (I went to Binghamton University in upstate NY) so I’m extremely lucky. I had so much stress and anxiety about being able to afford school and this somehow worked out for me. I very much wish the same for everyone else in this thread!!!

Rejected from Harvard and Boston college in the same week… Northeastern is the last school I’m waiting on.

when do you think the next wave will be coming out?

Probably Tuesday since it was last Tuesday

For those wondering about housing, I called and they said they they do cover housing. I did not get specifics, but it was clear that a lot of students actually do not live on campus. She said they usually cover like a standard 2-person apartment type of deal. Sorry that I do not have more detailed info, but I think that is something! So, yeah!
