I’m a mexican-American senior at a competitive public high school in California and my parents are letting me apply to one of these three Boston schools.

I’m not too familiar with them other than their rankings on U.S. News, and IDK what my chances are for each with a 3.58 GPA Unweighted, 3.83 weighted, (sucks I know ) and a 2100 SAT

Any thoughts?

why are they only letting u apply to one? the app fee isnt terribly expensive

Go to the College Vibe section of this website, and read the visit reports. They are pretty different in feel -
Boston College - in beautiful suburban “ritzy” area of Boston, but accessible by T easily. Very very traditional in feel - DD thought it was like hogwarts. Really beautiful buildings/scuptures, etc. Limited number of majors. Must take 3 classes in theology from 90 choices - honestly, they sounded like fascinating classes. Cross cultural history of marraige and funeral traditions was one of the most popular.
Boston University - very urban - campus takes up a good portion of the Back Bay section, which is a short T ride from teh downtown/financial section. Right next to the Charles River and looks across at Cambridge where Harvard and MIT are. Wonderful school in most students opinion - our DD is ecstatic here. Strong sense of community and fun.
Northeastern - I have not visited this campus, but have been told that it is not as community oriented as BU. Students are varying in happiness, and vary in whether they like the stretched out on again off again schedule. Read up carefully on college website as well as campus vibe and college ******* to get a feel on the three colleges. Some programs are very well regarded at both schools - some are outstanding at one or the other. DD applied to BU and NE, but ended up withdrawing app to NE - just did seem like a good fit to her. I think she would find BC limiting.
