i've been accepted to both schools in their engineering programs.

northeastern - nice dorms, def. co-op., boston, horrible weather in the winter, 5 years (i get to stay away from home), good food, not a strong sports school, okay parties?, good engineering program.

umd - ok dorms, DC (i love DC)., fair weather, 4 years, have to come home during summers, pretty bad food, awesome sports school, awesome parties, real good engineering program as well.

money really isn't a problem because i got good financial aid from both schools.

Both fine schools. Flip a coin. If your first reaction is relief about the outcome, it’s all good. If you think you made a mistake, you probably did.

Btw, you can do four years at NU if you want to, it just means fewer co-ops. I did the five years. The beauty of co-op is not just that you learn what you like to do but it is also helpful to learn what you DON"T want to do.

Anyway you decide you have some solid choices. Good luck!
