Hi everyone. I have a daughter that will be applying to High Schools next year, and we are both very interested in Northfield Mount Hermon. I was just wondering what are the colleges that the most students matriculate to?

I would take that up with the HS.

There is a prep school sub-forum on CC. Post this there.
Also, on the NMH website there should be a list of college matriculations. It is an excellent school. You might also look at the MAPL schools (Hill, Peddie, Blair, Lawrenceville etc).

I’ll an older graduate of NMH {class 1956} and have stayed in touch with the school and am on campus a lot. I went to Yale and HBS from there. I hear a lot about students shunning the traditional high-end colleges but I think that’s more a fashion statement. The facilities, faculty, and academics are excellent and I can’t say enough good about the place. From a perspective of 50+ years you might take heart in the place. Feel free to E-mail me at:

I am a current student at NMH. Our students matriculate to great schools, some Ivy’s however they go to schools that are great for them. NMH doesn’t care about the name, it is more about what the school has to offer you and what you can offer the school. Some of my friends that just graduated are going to: UVA, Middlebury, 'Cuse, Harvard, Yale, Michigan, Siena, St. Lawrence, Duke, Georgetown, and Northeastern just to name a few.
