I couldn’t seem to find a Regular Decision thread, so I thought I would start one! I may be wrong though, so if there is one already please let me know! So, I know Northwestern says late March for decisions, but how about guesses on a actual date? I know we have absolutely no idea so far out; I’m just saying we play a guessing game!
Last year it was March 21st! So nervous
My guess is March 21 too! I hate waiting so long…
@chocolatehusky me too! Northwestern is my top choice and the waiting is definitely torture
Yes, it is going to be a very long wait! March 21 sounds like a good guess
I dont think NW sends LL’s. So i guess there’ll have to be a more-than-a-month long wait. Good luck guys!
My money’s on March 20, to stay consistent with the day of the week they released last year. But it could be the 21st or 22nd.
What’s the acceptance rate for RD last year?
@alwalw I believe it was around 6.4%
It’s way more. It’s in double digits definitely. Like 11 ish %
I might be wrong.
I think admitted vs enrolled? Admitted is probably close to 11%. Enrolled/yield is probably closer to that 6%. I believe NU is competing with HYPS at this point maybe.
6.4 percent for RD last year – article on Daily Northwestern newspaper. 2320 accepted RD / (40425 total applicants - 4049 ED applicants) = 6.38%
https://dailynorthwestern.com/2018/03/24/campus/northwestern-acceptance-rate-falls-to-8-4-percent/
Alright!
Again, these rates tell nothing of your own chances. It’s mainly a result of admitting students they want in their class.
All it tells is that admission’s getting more competitive yearly (as an avg. number), but thats very obvious.
Will Northwestern send Financial Aid with acceptance or does that come later??
@MomOD4 Generally it comes later. (FinAid Packages)
@TheGuy1 Thanks!
Is it coming out tomorrow?
@monster123 where did you hear that from?
Going by last year.
Prediction: Between 4 and 6pm today
