oh and I just got it before lunch.
I actually didn’t know my decision. i called the office and the rep said that they do not give out decisions over the phone but I should be expecting my letter within a week. But then I got tired of waiting and called FedEx and the FedEx rep told me that there is a package for me from Skokie, IL. that’s how i know. LOL

i still havent gotten mine, this is absurd

Congrats to those who got accepted and solidarity to whose who are still(still!!??) waiting for the decision letter!!

I got accepted about a two weeks ago, and STILL HAVEN’T GOTTEN THE FINANCIAL AID PACKAGE. Northwestern really is the worst when it comes to admission-related administration…

Did anyone get their financial aid? Could you tell me how it compares to the financial aid you got at your old college perhaps? I’d really like to go to NW but they say they don’t give out much and i’m afraid I will end up not going…

I called the office today and she said “you will hear by early next week”. I guess i didnt make the june 30th deadline. This is getting a little ridiculous.

they are so inefficient!!!

Have any of you guys received a transfer credit evaluation form? I would really like to see mine before I make my final decision, but time is ticking on my deposit deadline. Anyone in the same boat?

I still haven’t gotten my financial aid package either and my deadline to tell them by is monday…hopefully it comes tomorrow…I emailed them and they said I would hear shortly. I am just anxious to hear!

SO. I just called them and they said that the IDOC documents were received this morning so my financial aid award letter should be complete by Monday (maximum). Those of you who think you have all of your docs in, make sure that you sent in your verification worksheet, W-2s, etc etc to IDOC. You can check on Caesar if you click on “to do history”. Also, I looked on some other threads and some posts relayed RIDICULOUS financial aid (i.e. $80,000 annual income, EFC= $31,000). Is it really that bad??

In regards to the transfer credits, it appears that only ONE lady goes through them and she is pretty behind. She asked me to call back a few days before the deadline (I have 8 days left to decide…yikes).

Those who have not received decision letters yet, this backlog seems to be happening across all “processing” departments. There may still be some apps that haven’t been looked at!

Is there a facebook group for the Transfer class? I think I created one a while ago but I can’t seem to find it…LOL.

Where oh where is my decision. I’m going elsewhere. Does anyone know if I can still get my money back? :(

I wish there was a way to get the money back haha. I still have not heard a decision either.

Guys, I feel ya! I called the financial aid office too and they said they just recieved (late june) my IDOC. The reason is that they do not even request the IDOC for the forms until the student is accepted. It seems like mine will come out around next Monday too… this is frustrating.

I emailed Admission (as they told me to, when I called for the following reason) to ask for extension on the deposite deadline, and they replied back that my deadline was actually yesterday(!) but they would give me an extra week. So if your deadline is coming up, email ug-admission@northwestern.edu for extension!

Guys, how do you find transfer G.E. and major requirements for the school? I looked through NW website and google but could not find any information on requirements. Help please? thanks

Hi! I got my admittance letter a little over a week ago. You can check your financial aid on CEASAR, as long as all of your paperwork has been turned in.
I’m just wondering about housing… a. I know it’s not guaranteed; b. I’m going to be making my decision on probably the last day possible, thus I’m afraid there definitely won’t be any left by then; c. I’m coming from awesome apartment-style dorms at Loyola University Chicago and would downgrading by doing dorms at NU, so… maybe apartments would be better? Does anyone know ANYTHING about on-campus housing and/or helping transfer students find cheap apartments/roomates?

Also, I applied as a theatre major but got into Performance Studies- but I don’t know how that changes my track or experience as a theatre student at Northwestern. Anyone have any clue?

Finally, YES I think there should be a Transfer Facebook group!

Hi everyone,

Congrats on gettin in!

I will applying for transfer into NU next year. Can anyone please let me read their essays? I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Hey has anyone else gotten a credit evaluation yet? I am confused about how to read it properly and determine my class standing…Can anyone help?

You might want to try [Rules and Policies for Transfer Students - Undergraduate Advising – Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, Northwestern University](http://www.weinberg.northwestern.edu/advising/transfer/rules.html) . They have a bunch of info on how credits are transferred. I can’t really make sense of mine either; most of my credits are 1XX which i assume are for 100 level courses (which are seminar classes) so either the report is incomplete or i’m really screwed lol

Xferstudent; where are you transferring from?

Did anyone join the existing NU transfer orientation group page?? I don’t know how old it is.

On facebook that is…
