bump bump~anyone heard from them?

i really, really want to get into nu. would it be bad if i sent them a letter detailing that? i know we were supposed to do that in the essay (and i did), but would a letter be bad? thanks!

when i called them to see what my status was they told me that its pending my winter quarter grades. what does that mean?

they also said that they can tell my decision soon. is that good or bad?

@rbkhoops21, when did you submit your app?

beg of the year. super early. i got my email saying my app is complete on like the first week of April.

then i guess them saying that they’ll let you know their decision soon is good then! good luck!

haha really? what makes you say that…haha we’ll see. thanks!

any news out there???

Anyone got in this week? Or they say your decision has been made when you call to check?

Nope. How bout you?

You could call to see if a decision has been made?

Yes. They will tell you if they have made a decision yet or not. But they will not tell you what that decision.

Just called the admissions office:

No decision has been made on my app yetttttt

I submitted in February (i think) ;/

anyone else submit an app earlier and hear already??

Me tooooooooo February, and complete on Feb.26 I believe.

Hope it comes out early June!!

One more thing, will acceptance be express mail and rejection be regular mail?? Cause then we could actually extimate the decision after it has been made.

anyone heard anything yet?

hey i’m looking to transfer after my sophomore year and i’m wondering if anyone knows anything about transferring to Medill (& if its even possible…)
…i know it’s gonna be a crapshoot but i REALLY want medill.
i didnt apply after my freshman year because i figured that i needed a higher gpa…

@ 20091990,
As a current Northwestern student, and a student that started in Medill, I can tell you that I have NEVER heard of a junior transfer being accepted to Medill. It is incredibly hard to even transfer into Medill from WCAS as a SOPHOMORE, let alone as a junior. Due to the many classes Medill requires (you probably know this, but you graduate with a BS instead of a BA) it would basically be impossible to complete these in two years. Additionally, because of the Journalism Residency requirement, you would have even less time. If you want to go to Northwestern, I would recommend applying to WCAS. If you really want journalism as a junior transfer, I recommend applying elsewhere.

do you guys know when NU is supposed to let us know of their decision? i have to let my school know by June 1 if i’m coming back or not…help!

i’m still waiting… good news is my spring grades came back in and I aced all of my classes :)

I really wonder whther the “either mid May or late June” is true.
