<p>Northwestern is pretty highly regarded for musical theatre, but I have a director who told me that she hates Northwestern for straight theatre (specifically she said straight actors come out of NU with big egos and lame skills). I look up to this director quite a bit and I trust her on most things, but since NU is on my list and I'm more into straight theatre than musical, I want to find out more. My director has said that her opinion might be dated, and I'm not sure why NU would be so much worse at straight theatre than musical theatre. Could I possibly get some more opinions on the quality of the program?</p>
