i have gotten excepted to both, but which has a better science program. which school is ranked higher in there science department.
i have also got into amherst
which one offers the harder science classes.
i would also like to do pre-med and i am thinking of majoring in neuroscience or molecular bio.

I'm a little confused. Are you applying as a first year student? Amherst and Northwestern have ED programs where you allowed to apply to only one college ED.
Also, have these schools made their decisions yet?

None of these schools have released decisions

How have you received admissions decisions?

maybe she is a transfer or something?

Hmm, would expect a student of your caliber to know how to spell accepted...

and "their"..........

Basic knowledge of punctuation wouldn't hurt either...

lol...liar liar pants on fire anyone?

ED/EA decision is not even out; transfer getting into amherst/chicago/nu is extremely impressive, probably forum troll.
To answer; NU is definitely best out of the three for graduate level hard science.

deffered for a year then just set back these were the schools that i were admitted to and know i have to decide on which ones

I have to call BS on this as well. If you don't know the difference between know and now, except and accept, and their and there, I'd like to know how you were accepted to these schools. Honestly, your writing ability gives me hope.

yep troll!!!!!

I bet he/she's only a sophomore given the 10 at the last of his/her SN :D

"hello iam a sophmore in highschool and i just have a bunch of questions concerning the act test. One, compared to your gpa is this test really that important in order to get into a major university.... "

from earlier post :D BS.

I don't understand why the OP wouldn't just come clean and be honest. It's not a big deal if you're interested in which is better. The facade, though, just seems sort of lame.

Anyways, I guess I'll answer your question. Northwestern is better for undergraduate science studies.

Northwestern vs. Chicago? Are the people here ignorant or just stupid? Chicago blows Northwestern out of the water in both undergraduate and graduate studies.

There is absolutely no hard science in which Northwestern is ranked higher than University of Chicago.

@phuriku
Methodology
By downloading the Microsoft Excel files at the NRC web site and writing a few Fortran programs, I constructed various tables summarizing the report. I only studied faculty quality, since this seems most relevant to national visibility and I only studied the 136 institutions (of the 274 in total) who received scores in at least 10 of the 41 areas.

Awesome ranking; we all know Chicago is right up there in terms of nobel laureates and etc.

We can still resurrect a University of Chicago v. Northwestern epic battle thread of of this sad misguided troll! Don't loose hope!

Heres my answer:

University of Chicago.

Especially (times a billion) for physics.

Take a look at above rankings to get an idea.

Haha, I just advised an imaginary person...wow.
