<p>^ Yet I know that GS TMT and a few other groups’ analyst classes are essentially composed of all Harvard/Princeton/Wharton kids. There is no doubt that one can break in from any good school with hard work/luck/smarts, but as others have already stated, there is definitely a tiering system.</p>
<p>Princeton is nothing special. Here is the most accurate tiering for finance jobs:</p>
<p>Group 1: Harvard and Wharton
Group 2: Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Cornell AEM, Dartmouth, Duke, Stanford, NYU Stern, Georgetown McDonough, and Penn CAS
Group 3: Brown, Cornell, Michigan Ross, Berkeley Haas, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame Mendoza, Georgetown, Indiana Kelley, UVA McIntire, and Texas McCombs</p>
