Northwestern V Rice University

im leanin towards Rice since they have way smaller classes and r on a semester system instead of a quarter. but northwestern is more prestigious and is near chitown. then again, houston is dope......

which is better?

i think they're both pretty much equal. however, houston is hot, humid, boring, and very very ugly. but im kinda biased since i haven't been up to illinois yet

Houston is hot, humid, and ugly, but not boring if you know what you're doing. Then again, most students at Rice are said to stay "inside the hedges," as most stay on campus most of the time. Also, it's really not that hot for the majority of the school year. The really bad weather hits in July and August, so students really only get a few weeks of horrendous heat. It's currently a beautiful 72 degrees. I may be biased, but I chose Rice over Northwestern, and I'd say the prestige difference is pretty minimal, especially when talking to people who are familiar with top undergraduate institutions.
