Northwestern vs Claremont McKenna

To study Econ, possibly with a second major in political science.

If I went to NU I'd probably try for a Kellog cert; if CMC I might do PPE instead of straight Econ.

Especially considering them for jobs in Management Consulting/Business as well as Law School admissions (I'd be doing one of the two after undergrad, haven't decided yet).

I'm currently leaning Northwestern because I'm not a huge L.A. fan and it seems a better option for jobs (not so much competition in Chicago besides UofC).

I'd be very grateful for anyone's opinions or insights. I'm still pretty torn even though I am leaning NU slightly.

Bumppppppppp

It is all opinion - both are great choices.

I personally would take CMC. I LOVE the consortium and the weather. Claremont is NOT LA, though it is accessible. I don’t know where you live, but if you need to fly, flying into Ontario is nothing like LAX. Don’t let the LA rep sway your decision.

I think this comes down to a matter of personal preference.

The Northwestern degree will play a bit better on a national scale, CMC a bit better in the SoCal market working alum connections.

If you pursue a Kellogg Certificate, I’d give the clear advantage to Northwestern, possibly even in LA.
