Northwestern vs Cornell vs OSU scholarship

Hi all.
Out of the colleges I've been accepted to, I have narrowed it down to three:

Northwestern University
Cornell University
Ohio State University.

At Ohio State I have three different merit scholarships that stack up to essentially no cost. The other two would be full cost.
I am majoring in engineering. At OSU I would be in the honors engineering program.
I'm having a hard time deciding as all three are such great options.
I am not looking for opinions on the difference in cost but more on subjects that are less obvious (differences in student life, quality of engineering program, job placement, etc...).
Thanks for the help!

I am an OSU alumni.Started in Engineering and switched to business (no problem with the Eng. program, just very difficult and did not hold my interest) Also I attended NU for a summer and have alumni in my family and one at Cornell for grad work. All three VERY different schools. OSU is a very large university with tons to do, but it can be distracting and overwhelming depending on your personality. Do you like the idea of being around 50,000 students? Are you self-motivated and not easily distracted? If so, it has a great Engineering program (and OSU Honors program is great) and certainly it would not be worth it to attend NU or Cornell full fare in my opinion. However, if you are put-off by size than NU or Cornell would be better options. NU (to me) is a bit cold and distant on the part of the professors and administration. My sister said it was a bit Darwinian. Cornell can be intense, but great profs though I don’t know much more.

Forgot to add that Northwestern does have a strong alumni Network. OSU does more for its Honors students than its other alumni. I have been very fortunate in my career.

lol when i first saw this thread, i thought “lol oregon state… northwestern/cornell wuld be a no-brainer”

then i saww ohio state and was like… “oh”

really it depends on what you want. notrth2south has the right post, but Cornell has an administration that tends to not care, while NU does.

NU has the better engineering program though. quality of life is better in evanston than ithaca, but if you ever want to switch to premed, cornell would have the upper hand.

Cornell is a great school, but it’s actually the one that’s notorious for having unreasonable (not just harsh) professors. The administration there had to specifically tell their professors to relax their requirements in light of recent suicides because some professors had been particularly brutal and insensitive. I’m sure there are professors like that everywhere though, including NU, and some schools within each university have more than others.
