NU hardly trumps Michigan in most academic rankings by department.

Phead goes to Hopkins not Michigan so chillax. And it's a joke responded to a joke anyway.

Oh Ok. I see. So NU trumps Hopkins in every way. That i can accept. :-)

Phead,
You clearly haven't followed FB closely. So far, the Wildcats have blanked opponents four times in the second half this season.

At least I follow football teams that matter. Alabama, Florida, Texas Tech, Texas, Penn State, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma. These are the teams that I watch on ESPN. The only other time that I saw NU on ESPN was when they got thrashed by Ohio state 45-10? and Michigan when they broke their record of most losses in a season that was set back in 1962.

:D I tripled checked and is simply not the case :-)

i was told Rice students are too nerdy, well known for social studies.
UMich has strong business and premed
CMU has strong business and engineering
Northwestern has good social studies.

Not me! Honestly, though, that sounds like an unreliable source, as Rice is generally most renowned for its science and engineering, along with its smaller music and architecture schools.

Phead, I like how you mentioned Lacrosse and then just edited that part out from your post :) Yep, I saw that.
Did you just google and find out that our women's lacrosse team has been national champion for the past four years?

Just because you watched one of the three football games we lost amongst the eleven we've played this season, that doesn't mean everyone scores against Northwestern ;)

The ESPN joke was actually a spin off of Ball State fan's poster that read "Everyone Scores Points on Navy," which is quite unbelievable yet very true even to this day. :-)

Anyways, it was meant to be a joke against Hawkette. No harm intended. Oh yes, About that womens lacrosse team comment... I had to do a little research to double check if I made any mistakes. NU's womens lacrosse team went undefeated in 2005. Not bad. At least we have a mens lacrosse team, #1 in the country baby. Woot. Good Ol' Google.

"UMich has strong business and premed"

Umich is definitely one of the leaders and the best in most academic fields of study. Top ranked liberal arts education, business, engineering, pre-law, pre-med, kinesiology, education, arts, nursing, pharmacy pretty much sum up everything.

Congrats - so do do millions of other people (you must feel special).

Otoh, enjoy JHU FB - oh, wait...

I like Rice best, fit-wise. UMich last.

I went to the Carnegie Mellon pre college drama camp thing this past summer, and it made me never want to go to Carnegie Mellon.

I visited Rice, and it isn't particularly strong in the departments I am majoring in.

Northwestern is alright, good wresting team, and probably my top choice out of the 4 mentioned in the thread

I would never go to Michigan, it is way too big

If you don't mind me asking, what turned you off from CMU while spending time there?
