Or we can have a dark comedy. ;)

Sam Lee-

I respect your different opinion, but I also expect you not to distort what I said. What I said is after youve gone through the rigorous Chicago education, there will be many fabulous opportunities waiting for you. Ive never said or hinted anything about the success or happiness after college. Know that education in and of itself does not guarantee anything in life, it just provides a better opportunity for success or happiness if you will. After that, my friend, its all up to you. You will be the captain of the ship called mia vita

Sorry to misunderstand what you were trying to say. But I'd like to add that graduates at other peer institutions like Brown, Dartmouth (shoud I call that "Brown" education, "Dartmouth" education? ;))...etc. have just as many fabulous opportunities waiting for them.

However, Chicago graduates will have more fabulous opportunities than NW graduates. I believe only HYPS graduates can have as many fabulous opportunities as Chicago graduates. This is the crux of this thread. If you dont agree with me, fine. At least, some real life people seem to be agreeing with me !!!

Rabban, until you're out of high school, don't make generalizations about the success of a college's graduates- especially when talking to students who go to that school, like Sam and kk.

I am glad you informed us, however. I have to get cracking on my transfer applications to HYS and Chicago; apparently my Duke degree will not give me many "fabulous opportunities."

Rabban, don't believe everything your uncle says. LOL!

LOL, you don't know jack about me. If you don't know what you are talking about, hold your tounge, young boy

That was a joke.

sam, my uncle is as old as your dad. LOL

107 was intented to warbler boy, a young college student, LOL

Rabban,

I think Columbia is better than Chicago, considering academics, opportunities, location, night life and Prestige (i know i know)

It's very hard to ask others to agree with your generalization when you contradict yourself. ;)

ehhhh...
how about this then?

A pretty good list. It’s about time for WCU’s

World Class Universities (WCU) in USA

Harvard-Berkeley-MIT-Stanford-Yale-Princeton

Chicago-Columbia-Caltech-Cornell

et cetra et cetra

By the way, some "real life" people like monydad and wesdad seem to disagree with you also. Look at previous posts. ;)

Wow..now yet another order--Berkeley/MIT move up and Chicago drops. Even you seem to struggle to agree with yourself. You remind me of checking out BCS rankings. Which football teams you think are the best?

Chicago Bears of course

Remember Perry "Fridge"? LOL

Yeah, HYPSMB + Chicago + Columbia + Caltech + Cornell Engineering are the top schools

I'm glad Jay Berwanger isn't alive to read this thread.

For engineering: M + B + S + Caltech + Cornell
Non Engineering: HYPSCC

Good grief, Rabban changes rankings more than US News and Princeton Review do.

Take my advice- stick with CHYMPS. The C can stand for Cornell, Caltech, Columbia, or Chicago. A pretty good description too, I dare say. ;)

Economics: C + M + HPSB
Business: H + S + Wharton + M + Columbia + Chicago + Haas**
Law: Y + S + H + Columbia + Chicago + Boalt

** Haas jus passed the some business school in midwest LOL
