<p>I would reccomend researching them as much as possible through online resources and getting on their mailing lists. Look for the school that best fits your preferences in terms of athletics, social life, academic rigor, campus, location, etc. You can learn a whole lot from the internet.</p>
<p>Visiting after you've been accepted can be sufficient. My d's going to a school she only visited after acceptance.</p>
