Not about Grinnell...

Hi- Hopefully the subject will weed out anyone who objects to my posting here... I'm looking for some Iowa LAC expertise and COE doesn't have an active board.

We're looking at Cornell this summer (also Knox, Beloit and Ripon to give you some perspective). A friend mentioned Coe and I'm wondering about adding it in. The dilemma is our time frame is really tight so I'm hoping to get some info about it before juggling/cramming/etc.

D is a liberal Californian and isn't interested in a school with a strongly religious and/or conservative student body. I've read that it's affiliated with the Presbyterian Church. Is that merely an historical connection, or is there still an active affiliation?
Collegeboard.com lists a number of clubs including Christian Fellowship and Christian Athletes and I haven't found anything to suggest that there are equivalent groups for non-Christian religions, also no mention of LGBT groups.
Final question - how big is the Greek scene?

Thanks for any help...

why don’t you post this either on the college selection or the parents forum?

Thanks, I’ll do that.
