When i was filing my apps back in december, i checked off that i would apply for financial aid at certain schools.
however, after looking at my parents income statement and diff. schools' criteria for FA, i've realized that the chance of me getting any FA is slim to none, so I've decided agaisnt applying for financial aid and didnt send in any necessary materials.
if this is the case, do i need to inform the respective schools or would they just assume that i dont need financial aid if i dont send in the documents?
also, because i am an internatianal, the fact that i checked off the FA option on the common app even though i didnt apply for it may affect my admission chances negatively. (all the schools are need-blind towards internationals, but im not sure how "need-blind" the policy is for internationals - i heard they are given FA if they have sufficient funds left after providing FA domestic students?)

Can't hurt to send the Admissions Office a letter telling them that you have decided not to apply for financial aid. That way the FA office doesn't keep your file open waiting for info.

It cant hurt, may help you, and is considerate towards college FA staff.
