<p>It seems like everyone was assigned to housing today… I got the email saying I am now able to view my housing stuff but on that page it says that I have not yet been assigned to a residence. Does this mean that I didn’t get my first choice housing or something? Or have they just not gotten around to it and I can still get Warren (1) or West (2) and shouldn’t worry?</p>
<p>in my account it says:“Our records indicate that we have assigned you to a room. Your room assignment information will be confirmed in July or August.”</p>
<p>forzworn…my D rec’d the same email and I have the same sentiments as you? Does this mean she is not getting Warren or West? We phoned and were told only 70% of the incoming have rec’d their housing assignments…I guess we have to wait and see.</p>
<p>yeah i really, really hope thats not the case… at least I know that I’m not the only one now. I don’t understand why they release only 70% that seems completely stupid to me. Did they say anything about whether or not the rest of the class will be assigned to other dorms? I’ve seen in the FB groups some people posting non-Warren/West dorms but they’re few and far between</p>
<p>This happens every year. I believe that some people still do receive Warren or West afterwards… however, people who find out later often do end up with somewhere else like 575 Comm Ave. It really depends though. Also, you usually do wait awhile to find out. I think when I was coming, some people didn’t know until the end of July</p>
<p>thanks lauren, thats def good to know. considering what you said then, do dorm switches tend to be hard to get to go down? im really not looking to live anywhere but Warren or West… I’ve heard the other dorms are boring and difficult to meet people in and I really want to do that freshman year</p>
<p>forzworn, if you’re not happy with your room assignment, contact Housing asap and see what your options are. If they’re unable to give you a new room right away, you’ll have to wait a couple of weeks into the school year, but you’ll definitely get into Warren or West in the end. People move in and out of the large dorms everyday, so don’t worry about being stuck in an upperclassmen dorm forever.</p>
<p>Also not all are released because there are some current sophomores that got stuck in warren, west, Danielson, etc because they had bad housing numbers. So those calls began last friday to them to switch out of those residences and into non-freshman residences (because quite a few upperclassmen decide to move off campus so their spots become available) so you still have a chance to get into warren or west.</p>
<p>So I checked mine a few days ago and it said the same thing as everyone else. The whole “you’ve been assigned a residence. We’ll confirm it in July or August”. But I just went back to check today and now it says I haven’t been assigned a residence at all? Is this normal or a glitch?</p>
