Not chances for a college, but something equally as important

Ok, so at my school there is an award given out at the end of the year to "students who meet one or more of the following criteria". I've gotten this award the last 2 years (10th and 11th grade) and I plan on getting it again this year. However I have a concern, the three criteria have been the same for the last 4 years or so here they are,

1.) maintain a 90 in all regular classes, 85 in all honors classes, and 80 in all AP classes at the end of each quarter all year ( This is the one most people get)

2.) Seniors have a cummulative (all of highschool) average of 98 or above

3.) Reach the all-state level in a sport, band, or literary

So I've gotten #1 both years I've recieved the award, but this year being a senior I am concerned about # 2. In years previous I believed that seniors could get the award for getting any one of the three because it does say "students" must meet one or more of these criteria. I thought # 2 was just a way for a senior who missed out on # 1 by one point, but was also very smart and had at least a 98 could still get it. I realized today though that the wording of everything was exactly the same for the 2011-2012 award, except one thing. # 2 now says "seniors MUST have a cummulative weighted average of 98 or better". This caused me grave concern because initially I thought that I was automatically out because I don't have nor will have a 98, but then I thought, it says "a student must meet ONE or more of the following", thus if seniors were only elligible for # 2 wouldn't they have to say "a student, who is not a senior must meet ONE or more"? Also, all of the band and athletic kids who are seniors and got "all-state", but didn't have a 98 would also not get rewarded for their hard work! What do you think? Am I already out because my grades sucked IN 9TH GRADE!?!?

Thank you I'm very concerned about this any thoughts you have would be appreciated.
