<p>Don’t worry. I applied Ed and didn’t do the optional essay. It basically the same as the personal essay on the common applicaion. Give them a solid essay- not a bunch of rant. Remember, quality over quantity.</p>
<p>True: quality over quantity. And true: they don’t want a bunch of rant. And true: it will not pose a negative affect if you do not do the option essay.</p>
<p>BUT… </p>
<p>If you feel like you can show them something about yourself that is found no where else on your application, the optional essay is a great opportunity to add insight to your personality, aspirations, ect…</p>
<p>I feel that the optional essay is a way for you to show the admissions essay your creativity.</p>
