All right I was exaggerating when I said, im not happy with my score, but my breakdown was 740CR, 760M, 800W(10E). Im supposed to be really good at math and suck at writting.... Do you think that getting only a 760 in math will hurt me anywhere if I get an 800 in SAT 2 math 2C, which im hoping i did. Im feeling too lazy to take it again.

^ I agree hahaha j/k. Anyways, thats a great score. You should be happy, there are tons of HS students in the world who would kill for your score...

hahah i'm so sick of these threads. "i only have a 2390 what can i do to raise my score!? im going to study allllll summer"

I only have three words for you: GET A LIFE!!!!!!!

Why would that math score hurt you?

Don't retake..you'll probably get lower.

No i dont plan to kill myself anytime soon, sorry. And the thing is that if i retook i probably WOULD do better since i got an 80 on psat and an 800 on the two REAL practice tests i took, (although i didnt do very good in writting..lol), but i feel lazy and sick of standardized testing so im not gonna bother and im trying to find out if any college would put me at a significant disadvantage against someone who scored 800..

760 and 800 are literally a few questions difference. No college that you'd want to attend would reject you solely because of a 760 and not an 800--at that point it would come to something deeper in applications.

LOL. My son did almost the same thing - his 800 was in CR even though his lowest grades are always English. 760 was two wrong answer - no omits, probably careless mistakes. Oh well. Seriously don't worry about it - both your GPA and your SAT2 scores will show where your real strengths are and the writing score will make you look well rounded.

Indeed, 2300 is fantastic. I agree with what Murasaki said--it wouldn't really make that big of a difference anyway if you scored higher. Just work on the other stuff. :)

I don't think you'll do better. I mean I hope you do well, but I mean if you were gonna get an 80 or 800, you would've and could've already. Statistics are against you.

You could try to :)

If you feel as if you can do better then I'd say go for it :D

I actually only took it once, and im not gonna take it again cuz....im lazy, lol....i mean so i can focus on my applications...yea

Exactly. Good job on the SATs, though. Now, unlike some other people, you can totally focus on other aspects of your application. Doesn't it feel great to not have to stress out/study like a maniac for the SATs anymore? Lol.

retake. what do you have to lose???

yeah shell out the money and retake it fool! you have to prove that you own the collegeboard and not vice versa!

ruin your summer by studying hard because SATs are SUPER IMPORTANT and you need that 2400 which will gurantee future success for you and generations to come

hahhaa..lol unreal.....here I am content with my first ever SAT score of 2190, and I never considered retaking, you could definitely spend time on more meaningful things...i see a 2300+ as =2400 so you have a PERFECT score now go and improve your life in other IMPERFECT aspects...

Haha, me too. I got a 2190 and never want to see that test again.
