Not impressive ECs for IVIES?

<p>Hi. I'm not sure if my ECs are at least "good" for the admission officers for IVIES.
Do you think i have reseanable ECs for Ivies and top privates?</p>

<p>Extracurriculars
Founder/President of Tutoring Club (2 yrs)
President of Local Volunteers Club (3 yrs)
A member of NHS (2 yrs)
Clarinet player at City Youth Symphony (3 yrs)
JV Basketball (2 yrs)
Volunteer at the local Hospital for 150 hours (3 yrs)
Research on Advanced Materials and its properties with the UCLA advanced material research team (11th grade summer, 12 hours/week)</p>

AP Scholar with Distinction
National Merit Commendation
Korean American Regional Math Competition (2nd place)
Regional Clarinet Guild Duet/Trio Competition (1st place)
Regional Youth Tennis Spring Classic Competition (2nd place)
Distinguished Honor Rolls for 4 yrs (for those who have GPA higher than 4.0)</p>

<p>this looks somewhat like a ■■■■■ to me, but if you are being serious, of course your activities are good
on the other hand there are thousands of Asians with the exactly same activities
for example, i think colleges are tired of people volunteering at hospitals, since everyone is obviously just using it to fill up their application</p>

They really discourage me. haha</p>

<p>Your ECs look good. I’m a 2014er as well (so I have yet to apply), but I think that upper-tier/really selective colleges look more at involvement and achievement in your ECs rather than the length of your EC ‘list’. Just remember, quality>quantity. Always.</p>
