a little better than chances at columbia

im sick of ur asian girls wit all these activities...u shouldnt be in school u should be out takin over the world :)

Great chances

ur azn??? math sat, what happened. dishonorable!!! 1500+ SATs however will help out alot.i do admit im quite jelous of your ecs, its quite a load you got there.

"ur azn??? math sat, what happened. dishonorable!!!"

HILARIOUS! And sadly, kinda true when it comes to parents.

(sigh) So true, my dad saw my new SAT math score and promptly told me that even UMass wouldn't accept me. :(

Nov SAT- 640 math/ 790 verbal

Thanks dad. Any other comments?

you have to prioritize your activities and
list only 6~8 of them
they don't want a laundry list of what you did
only the activities that mean alot to you

Haha My dad was the same way after I got a 760 in Math. But then I got a 790 in verbal so he couldn't complain too much.

Asian parents, can't live with em, can't live without em

I think my dad will have a seizure when he sees my C- in calc for the midquarter

ditto what loves it said. even though its cool you have time for ALL of those activities, they will question your involvement for the majority even if you have a high position. so, just pick out what you are passionate about/will complement your interest and make you stand out.

yea u gotta improve ur SAT scores. Koreans score the highest average, so you really need to do better on math because of the competition.

But your best math + best verbal is decent. 1480. But you gotta improve your math score for sure.

argh. koreans.... ;) some of them are so damn crazy...one guy memorized the frekin dictionary and was smart as hell in math, got 1600 and cudnt speak 2 sentences in english straight. he was from one of the foreign language acadamies here....crazy. math is just their subject...so damn fast.

I'm not sure if it's possible to expect a 100 point jump in math, and I'm sort of afraid that my verbal will go down if I test again.

Its too easy to score 1600 nowadays. Back when I took the SAT in 1994, you could score over 1600. But they capped the ceiling for your generation. -_-

I personally think its because Asians during my generation scored over 1600 too many times. ^^

Most privates take best math and best verbal from all different SAT scores.

that means if you get 500V/600M on one test and 600V/550M on another test, your official score to private elites is 600V/600M.

Schools differ according to policy whether its ok to take the SAT 3 times. Most of the time its ok, they just look at best verbal and best math, but call the admissions office if your not sure.

even UMass... haha, yeah my parents told me i couldn't get into Uconn with my old scores. but hey, i got them up... 1460 (M780) and i just got into Cornell, ED.

everyone has a shot, just keep believing.
