One of my teachers is doing her recommendations online, but one specific college doesn't seem to be letting me add it on the common app. It says:

Binghamton University - State Univ. of New York
No counselor added.
No teacher evaluations are required by this institution.

And there's no drop-down for me to add a teacher. I'm really doubtful that Binghamton doesn't want at least one teacher rec... does anyone have any experience with this? Am I missing something? Thanks!

Ah wait, I found their application checklist and one step is;

Submit 1 Teacher Counselor Recommendation
Recommender:
School counselor online via
The Common Application
OR
Binghamton’s paper form,
completed and mailed
OR
School counselor’s own form or letter mailed.

So they really don’t want/need a teacher’s rec? I don’t need to be afraid that my application is incomplete? Ohh the stress.

Reading your post above, I think that they only need a counselor rec, a lot of colleges don’t want/require teacher recs, I guess that they think that the only thing that the recs will say is that X student is so amazing, blah blah blah. I’m pretty sure that you don’t need a teacher rec, but the way to make sure is just to call their admissions office and ask.
