Hey all, I really have no math/science awards or EC's.
I have a low GPA( 3.2 9th grade, 2.9 10th grade, 4.0 11th grade)
But I do have a decent online business
2300-2340 SAT (on blue book practice tests)
URM (black)
top 10%
self studied 6 AP's
I do code VB.Net and I'm learning C# tho.

Do I stand a chance?

Everyone has a shot at MIT… Low or high… You need to demonstrate strong interest in the school… Even though I’m still a high school student, I have good ambition to do as much the school offers me

From what I have understood so far, MIT accepts students from all sorts of profiles but they all have one thing in common i.e. strong passion for something.

Don’t be fooled by the people who post here in CC. MIT accepts like roughly 1800 students each year and only a dozen come here and discuss about MIT, which doesn’t provide an accurate picture of MIT.

I’m an extremely ordinary student with high hopes of doing something significant. I will apply to MIT hopefully and all I can say to you is just apply to MIT with your best shot and hope for the best.

Last year MIT accepted 0% of those who did not apply. The decisions to take now is whether you want to go to MIT. That is pretty much it.
