I submitted my SIR and was woundering if i can still attend community college. I dont wanna take out any loans and it is too far from my family. I also dont know how to activate my cruzmail nor do i have my activation code.

Well do you want to activate your email or ax ucsc all together and go to a community college? If you don’t want to go then don’t go. Only you can make that choice.

well imma think bout it for the next few weeks im still gonna take my writing exam and everything. I was just woundering if anyone knew how to activate the account and if it is still possible to attend a ccc even after my sir

I’m sure it’s possible. But to activate your email go to slugmail (it’s google) to activate it instead of cruzmail.

Ps did you go to leuzinger high? I went to west Torrance, it’s like right around the corner!

I’m not sure about you guys, but whenever I tried to activate my slugmail, originally, it would flip out. So I called the number that it provides and asked them to manually activate it. Within twenty-four hours from then, it works. :]

I just finally got my SlugMail working about an hour ago. Well, more or less. It sends outgoing emails as @ucsc.edu but any incoming emails have to be @slugmail.ucsc.edu or they’re undeliverable. =/

That’s not right. I sent an email from my old email address to ucsc.edu and I recieved it in my slugmail

If you don’t think you’ll like it at UCSC, then simply don’t go here. You will still be able to attend a cc after submitting your SIR, but it is not refundable. You should attend CC before school starts because it will be easier on yourself and you don’t have to spend a quarter or year moping around wishing you didn’t attend.

@Hadian. It’s not correct. Ignore the @slugmail ending altogether. When you send emails, the recipient will see @ucsc.edu. When someone is sending you an email, it should be sent to @ucsc.edu. Although when receiving an email from someone you can tell them to send it to slugmail.ucsc.edu… it’s just pointless when they can just send it to @ucsc.edu (easier to remember and looks better).

The @slugmail.ucsc.edu is just a client-side thing that you will see. Emails are just tagged with that slugmail ending because it has to be loaded with Slugmail, but that’s all done server-side.

Well, I’m really glad that’s not how it’s supposed to work. =S I emailed the support guys last night; hopefully they’ll get it cleared up. It makes me feel kinda bad, since I’ve been asking them for help with various aspects of the site almost every day since last week.

@Leuz: What MidnightGolfer said. If you’re not sure now, go with the safe option, and in two years you can transfer when you are sure about where you want to go.

Yea i go to leuzinger class of 2010 West Torrance is nice I’ve been there b4
