Hey everyone. I'm a Caucasian girl from MA, junior in high school. UConn has been my top school for a while now. My GPA (unweighted) is average: 3.32. I'm in the top 10% of my class: number 26. PSAT score: 180. I take all honors, accelerated, and AP courses. Mostly A's and B's, a couple C's in the AP and accelerated courses. Got a 3 on the AP Euro test last year. 3 season athlete, a few extracurriculars. Quadruple legacy to the school. I'm unsure if I need to get anything more or if I need to bring anything up. Any advice would be awesome.

My D was just accepted with lower stats than you into UConn’s nursing which is very competitive. She has 3.3 UW, 4.0 W, 48/315 in class, 15%. An athlete with extracurriculars, but not good enough to play sports in college. She is also caucasian from MA. So I would say it looks good for you. Of course the least amount of C’s the better, but AP classes are definite bonus. What attracts you most to UConn? My D is still undecided, we need financial packages to come in first.

I’ve visited the school a few times, and I loved it. Having family that went there adds to my interest, too. I know I want a school with a larger population, and I’m not really sure what I’d like to major in so I think a bigger school would leave me with more options.
