University of Connecticut- What I need to get in

<p>Hey Guys !
I wasn't exactly sure where to put this because I'm new to this site....so if anyone has a better spot for it just let me know.</p>

<p>Anyways....</p>

<p>I'm a junior in high school and I go to an instate private school. I haven't taken my SATs yet, so I'll be putting up my stats for people to chance me later, but I really wanted to know what stats I need to get into Uconn. </p>

<p>Uconn is my top choice ! I want to get in REALLY badly. A lot of people tell me it isn't that hard to get into, but I'm still worried :/ I'd really like to know what GPA I should have
(out of a 4.0) and what my total SAT score should be. I also want to know if going to private school makes my chances better? Thanks !</p>

<p>a UConn rep just came to my school last week. She said that they look for a minimum GPA of 3.2 (weighted). As long as your test scores are at least average, you take some challenging classes, and join a club or two, I’d say you’re in.</p>

Some people I talked to were saying that Uconn has become really competitive, and is getting harder to get into. This makes me feel loads better !</p>
