I’m new to this site so hopefully I’m doing this correctly! I have multiple unorganized questions all regarding college/future. I’m currently a junior and full time Florida Virtual School student. The last 3 years of my high school experience have been a bit hectic due to multiple unexpected school changes and my anxiety disorder, and now I’m rather lost. I have no idea where I’d like to go to college, or what colleges I’m even “worthy” of. My desired career path has changed more times than I can count, I’m not sure if I’m involved enough, yada yada yada. I guess I’m asking you to evaluate me and tell me how great or ungreat I am. I’m an A/B student with a few more A’s than B’s, and one C+ in Algebra 2 Honors that haunts me. I’ve taken every class in honors that has an honors option, and am currently taking AP English comp. I have an unweighted GPA of 3.7 and a weighted GPA of 4.0. After this school year I will have all of the required credits I need to graduate, and plan on taking dual enrollment classes my senior year (next year.) The only thing I’m worried about regarding credits, is that I’ve only taken 1 semester of Chemistry. We’re required to have at least 3 science credits to graduate, and I have 4.5, so I’m hoping this is okay… I know that it is important for certain fields in college, but I have no clue what I want to do, therefore I don’t know whether or not to take it. As far as extracurriculars go, I think I’m in trouble. I’m in National Honor Society, I attend a church youth group every week, I work at the post office once a week, I babysit, and I started volunteering at Hospice just this year. I attended a dance school for 13 years as well, although none of those years included high school, so will that not matter? I also plan on volunteering at an animal sanctuary I recently discovered near me as well. I haven’t taken the SAT or ACT yet or I would share those scores. I would love to attend a 4 year university, I’m just not sure if I qualify so far, and I have none in mind. Based on what I’ve told you, am I university material? Any advice on anything I mentioned? Sorry this is so long and unorganized!
Dude, a 3.7 in honors classes is great. Tons of schools would trip over themselves to get students with that GPA. Don’t worry yourself.
