Hi all!
I am currently a Junior in high school and am starting to look at some potential colleges; however, I do not know where to start. I was hoping I could get some recommendations of schools that I should look at based on my academics as well as preferences for what I look for in a school:
I got to a competitive catholic high school in NY.
Freshman gpa- 2.7
Sophomore year- 3.08
Junior year- 3.78
I am hoping to end high school with a 3.3/3.4 (because my freshman year GPA was not so great). I was on the APL list as well as honor roll. I will have taken 5 years of a foreign language as well as adv. physics, chemistry and biology. I do not have many hard classes other than that, but next year I have scheduled myself into Honor classes and 2 AP's.

ECs:
- Habitat for Humanity Club
- SADD club
- School newspaper
- Extensive charity work
- will have 5 years of varsity swimming
- Service trip to New Orleans
- steady babysitting job
- summer job as camp counselor
- many awards for swimming (leadership, skill, etc)

I am looking to major in nutrition/dietetics; however, I am also looking into exercise science. A major request I have is down south... NC, SC, TX, VA, AL, GA etc.. I do not want a small school. At least 3,000. 8,000-10,000 would be ideal...

I also do not have any cost constraints.. not sure if that helps!!

Please let me know of any schools that fit my academic credentials as well as what I want in a school.
Thank you!!!!!

I also have a trip to DC for credit as well as a trip to Europe that I opted to do work for so I can receive credit!

hold on just a second: you’re bumping us after three minutes?! do I look like an ATM to you? It takes me longer than three minutes to read and respond to your question.

there are some schools out there that will be interested in you. Many of them you will find listed here, and many of them you’ll be able to get into with your GPA:

Come back to us when you have an ACT/SAT score.

Jkeil911, I am sorry I did not mean to be annoying… I forgot to include my SAT score oh my gosh… its a 1720. I hope to raise, but if not I guess I will just have to work with what I have!

many of the n&d programs on that website will be middle of the road schools, regional schools, often state schools with programs that each state needs in order to staff its hospitals, schools, etc. Getting in won’t be the issue if your goals don’t change. Finding the right fit will be.

might be, OP, that there’s not a lot of expertise in these majors showing up on CC right now. You might have to do the heavy lifting and come back at us with a list of schools in the 8K-10K range that fit your stats. Probably about the bigger schools, like the large southern flagships, you’re more likely to find some expertise on CC.

Perhaps you can use Supermatch or BigFuture, list the schools and ask for an opinion to compare them?

@jkeil911 thank you I guess you are right. Sorry for bugging everyone
MYOS1634 Yes, I will do that
Sorry for wasting y’alls time

not at all. there’s just limits to what CC can do, and I thought I’d point that out sooner rather than later when you thought we were all ignoring you. If none of these 8-10K schools appeal to you, take a peek at the state flagships and see if they’re anymore to your liking. Then come back at us with questions.
