Not taking an AP test

I took English 1A over the summer. I was accepted to UC Berkeley and on my application, I listed that I would take both AP Eng. tests. However, I just realized that Eng 1A actually gets me credits for one of the AP tests. Can I save my money, and get a refund, and not take one of the AP tests? Would Berkeley care?

Are credits at a junior college equivalent to getting a 3/4/5 on an AP test?

I don't think they'd care.

anyone can affirm to that?

I had a similar question so I sent an email to Cal saying:
I will not be taking AP Exams on the subjects that I am taking in my senior year because I am not planning to use my AP credits at Cal. Is it okay or does it affect my admission?

I received a reply email saying:
You will need to put in writing that you are not planning on taking the APexams so that we don't request score reports from you.

So I guess Berkeley wouldn't care as long as you send them a letter saying you are not taking the ap exam.

You know the best way to confirm this is to just send an email to the admissions office; though I don't honestly see them caring if you don't take the exam.

How about that I plan to take two more APs, which are not listed in my application and drop one AP, which is on my application?

i think you have to report that you took it. if you take classes at a JC over the summer, you have to report that or else you get in trouble
