Not taking math senior year

Hello
So I have already finished BC Calc and AP stats in junior year and no longer have any math classes to take senior year.
Do you think it would be okay if I just took no official math classes senior year even though I am planning to major in something in math/science.
I am taking AP Comp Science but does that count as a math class?

Thanks!

If you have exhausted math offerings at your school after completing Calculus BC, then it should be fine.

If you are extra motivated, you can try enrolling in multivariable calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, and/or discrete math at a nearby community college.

Agree with ucbalumnus.

You will be fine. In her high school, my D only took 2 AP math classes - one in grade 9, the other in grade 11. She took multivariable Calc in a local community college in grade 12. Evidently, not a problem with all the colleges (private and public) she applied to.

See if you can independent study mulivarible calc or linear algebra a period a day.
I’m taking multivariable, and though my school doesn’t have the class, they let me independent study it, meaning I’m be taking the class on my own and enlisting in the help of our math teacher, who is more than qualified to teach just about any college math class.

That’s fine because of your school’s limitations. You could take a math class at a community college but don’t if you’re only doing it to squeeze in math during that year. Take it if you’re really interested and you’re a math person. If not, it’s all right, as long as you’ve had at least 3 years of math.

Try something else. A new language? Double up on english, something else that interests you. That will be more appealing to colleges, assuming that is a concern here…you clearly have done alot in math already…what about an independent study w/a teacher in a field you love? Good luck.
