my ECs are pretty decent : i research at a lab (for a year now) have been a semifinalist for the New York Science & Engineering Fair, am the Editor for the school journal, have volunteered over 100 hours, am a non-varsity tennis player, i mentor kids, intern at the hospital, completed a environmental science internship etc.

considering i work hard on my essays, and have really good recs, do you think I stand a chance?
oh and i'm from NY applying for CALS.

pm me i have info that could be of use to you, as long as you aren’t applying to aem. I am also reaching for the stars at cornell, you have a better shot than you think ;)

I def think you have a chance. I’m a sophomore @ Cornell now. I had a 3.0 in high school unweighted, but @ a private college prep school. But I did a hell of a lot of extracurriculars. You name it I did it. And it seems like you have really pursued activities outside of school that relate you what you want to do with your life. So. I would say you have a good chance. I’m guessing you didn’t apply for ED, but neither did I. Actually Cornell wasn’t my first choice, but I didn’t get into Georgetown. I agree w/def454 I think you have a better shot than you think.

GOOD LUCK!

PS senior year gets ridiculously better after you finish applications.
