Nothing Nor Cal
Acted on 3/29

SAT: 1940
I got my rejection letter from Cornell today before USC "suppositely" sent out everything last friday 3/28.

I got rejected from Yale and Stanford. XD Waitlisted at Columbia.

still nothing from usc
and i live in socal

im almost certain i got rejected
whatever

still nothing in norcal, with 3/29 acted on status.
I called admissions and they said everything was mailed on friday and saturday, and then i was like "i heard they were also mailed on monday?" and she's like "yea, they mailed some on monday as well." so i'm like ***... does she not know what she's talking about..? but i would have gotten the acceptance/rejection if it was sent on fri or sat, so i must be the monday wave. i'm hoping that it might be an acceptance, and thats why it's taking long (cause i small envelope would def. not take more than 2 days...) SHe said everything was sent regular, not priority, at this point. Anybody agree this could possibly be the case of hearing nothing in norcal and socal!?

^haha, that's absurd. they said everything was mailed out on friday. yet, there's still letters that were sent Saturday & Monday... and probably Tuesday -_-. Even if it were regular mail, wouldn't it take 1 day for SoCal, and 1-2 for NorCal? so that means we should hear by tomorrow (if the last letters were sent out Monday).. I love how we can't call until the 11th.

yea its definitely really annoying.. (thats so funny the site replacted "***" for "w-t-f" lol)

i dont think they understand that after april 11th we only have 19 days to decide the beginning of our adult lives......

^^ Amen to that

Nickel -- I really have my fingers crossed for you. You've been a great cheerleader and supporter to everyone on this board every day and I really hope that you get that big envelope in your mailbox tomorrow.

My D received her rejection yesterday, and although it was sad, she is just happy to have resolution and she has moved on. She will be attending Loyola Marymount University (also in Los Angeles) in the fall. We are in NJ and she just can't wait to get out of here (and I can't blame her!!).

Again -- I hope you have good news to share with us very soon!

I wish I were a real cheerleader. xD I just want the outfit, though.

^ I agree with MommaBlair, I'm also really rooting for you too Nickel, you've been great. I also wish the best for everybody here who has not heard yet.
Mommablair, LMU is a beautiful place, very attractive, and I'm sure your D will be happy there!

^same here. I'm in Italy visiting my daughter who is studying abroad and I came on here to check the boards just to see if Nickel Xenon and others got in yet. Hope you get good news today.

FWIW- my D did not get in to USC with a 1400(old SAT) 3.5UW but it really did turn out for the best for her.

Awh, you guys are so nice. ^_^

just throwing it out there; if you can't log into the commitment site: https://camel2.usc.edu/AdmCertification/

wudn't that mean you're rejected?

What password do you use?

mmddyy?

That's what it says.

Nickel Xenon,
I'm another mom (with a spring admit) who is now checking back too just to see if you get the big envelope. Good thoughts are with you today! I've loved reading your posts over the past weeks and have a feeling that wherever you attend school, you will make your mark. Best wishes!
