Notification

Does Georgetown notify though mail or email??????

I think both…Don’t panic…

i am not panicking. I am just really nervous…

What are your stats? I’ll tell you if you will get in. ;)

You really seem paniced indefinitely, possibly forever!

I think mail for US, email for international, but I’ll wait for someone to verify this.

^ That seems to be the case.

Last year was first class US mail for domestic and email for international applicants.

Do you know if the actual notification is sent out exactly on the 15th? Or maybe it went out a little earlier last year? Hopefully, it’s put in the mail a little earlier. Our family is leaving for the holiday break on Dec 16th. We live in CA, and mail from Washington, DC probably won’t arrive for several days. I can’t imagine waiting until we get back to find out! :(

You are supposed to receive the decision BY December 15th. From my understanding of past years’ notifications, people closest to DC receive it first and then later based on your location. My thinking is that they put it in the mail at the end of the previous week/beginning of that week so you might get it before the 15th. I’M SO NERVOUS :/

Thanks so much!! Good to know. We’ll hope it arrives before we go out of town on the 16th; otherwise, we’ll have to find someone to come pick up and open our mail.

my stats are not that great.

SAT Score 2150
GPA 99.18 Weighted

President of my environmental club
Created a Junior Model United Naitons program for my local middle school
Communications director of NHS
Varsity in Cross Country

pelbadrawi, do you know when they’re actually mailed out?

I’m not sure about anything, but from what I’ve read on here and what people have told me, probably today or tomorrow. Last year, people started hearing on the 11th. That’s a Sunday this year, so I guess they’ll start coming on either the 10th or 12th, starting with the East Coast and on.

With each day, I freak out even more  Good luck to all!

so if we don’t get the letter by the 15th… would it be appropriate to call the admissions office?

I suppose. I know I will if I don’t get it by then because I would be a nervous wreck.
