my birthday is on march 31st....... = O thats gonna be an interesting day.

Well I find out during spring break so at least I don't have to deal with everyone else's anxiety as well. A couple of days to recover is good...

mine is during spring break too.... and on my birthday.... jesus.... its either goin to be the best 18th birthday ever or a day that i would want to forget.

Does anyone else feel like every waking moment of the day is spent thinking, IN SOME FORM, about college?

"This green bean is so green.....green like the grass in Cross Campus...."

I am so pathetic...lol

lol that's really funny. and yes I think about college a lot, but by this point I think it's part of my subconscious and I don't even notice it anymore.

i dunno.. i totally forgot about college up until today... when i realized that theres only a couple weeks left before colleges start notifying people about acceptances....

And 1st april is april fool's day!
Dear applicant, congratulations! you have been admitted to the class of 2009 at yale. Please do read the footnote at the end of the letter.............................................................................................

footnote: Please note that this is just an april fool's trick being played by the laughter association at yale.

I remember reading an article that said that many years ago, cornell goofed up on its aceptance letter mailing and sent an acceptance letter even to those who didn't get admitted! Then they had a really tough explaining their faux pas to the poor applicants! Hope nothing of this sort happens this time.

I have become addicted to college confidential b/c it is the only way to express my obsession. I am able to do other things but thinking for a long time that is not college related always ventures into the college realm.

laurenemma, are you a swimmer? what are your events?

My interview went well I think. For some reason I always get these stoic interviewers who just nod their head, smile, occasionally laugh, etc. But overall he seemed impressed with some of the things I had done with my clubs, and nothing went obviously wrong, so lets just cross our fingers and hope for a miracle! Thanks for asking though! =)

Paige87 I am actually a rower, although once upon a time I was a swimmer. I quit because it bored me and am actually much better at rowing.

All the other Ivies are doing 3/31---for EA, Yale did 12/15 even tho they officially stated 12/16 right up until the 15th. NO ONE will do April Fools' Day. Imagine all the cruel email tricks---no way will they wait til 4/1.

Well supposedly the ivy agreement moved up the date to 3/31 this year.

But maybe the 3/31 date is only for online notification. The official letters maybe sent out on 4/1 as per the agreement.

Well, Brown sent out an email to all applicants telling them that they can check decision online on 3/31 AND that letters will be mailed out that day. And there have also been rumors of Princeton mailing out 3/30. I think that the 4/1 agreement is not that strict, as long as you fall within a few days of it, it's fine.

Since the EA deferral, I had completely forgotten about college (except for finishing the other apps) until I got a likely letter from PSU Schreyer Honors College, which unfortunately started the whole college-obsession again...AH this is really not cool!
