Should I let all my colleges know that I had advanced as a finalist, or do they not care?</p>
<p>Let them know. It can make a difference both in admission and in your financial aid package.</p>
<p>It matters not whether they will care for purposes of admission – some will, some may not except potentially for merit aid purposes. You should still send info like this, which is new and updates your file, just in case.</p>
