Hey, I was wondering if anyone who applied REA saw any correlation between being able to get into the ND portal ahead of time or getting denied access and being accepted vs rejected. Any insight would help, thanks
I don’t think there is any. For instance, I had access to the portal from March last year (they use the same portal for admissions and summer programs) and I am strongly against the notion of any correlation between the accessibility to portals and the admission decision. It doesn’t make sense.
For the REA release in December, many accepted students were able to get to a screen on confirm.nd.edu that asked them if they wanted to accept their ND spot or not. The kids who could get to that screen mostly got accepted 30 minutes later. The kids who could not get to that screen mostly got deny/defer 30 minutes later.
That back door was up and available only for about 30 minutes prior to the official release at 6:42 pm. No idea if that will happen in this go round or not.
Pretty much every other clue or hint or email or change in the websites that were speculated about on CC turned out to be meaningless. Good luck!!
