No she was not matched through Questbridge but she is 1/2 hispanic so that probably helped? Someone told me that the envelopes going to California might not have been as impacted by the weather because it is on a different route and it all depends on where the trucks were held up due to the weather. It doesn’t really make any sense to me. My daughter had just gotten out of the shower and was wrapped in a big towel when I handed her the envelope and honestly it was one of the best moments of my life. Her 80 year old grandma started crying. She will only be the second woman in our family to graduate from college and no one has ever attended such a prestigious school so it is a very big deal:)

Good for You! Texas still waiting, my niece is going nuts waiting!

@GeorgeBailey that is probably the most inspiring story I have heard ever. You must be very proud. I am very happy for you and your daughter, congratulations! This is awesome! I’m still waiting for my letter but hearing your story and knowing how happy it made your daughter I am much more calm. Even if I was not accepted, I am happy that someone as driven and dedicated as your daughter seems to be is attending the best college ever and making her grandmother and family proud. Congrats!!!

Nothing from ND in Alabama…grr im so anxious! I really hope it comes tomorrow! Just to be clear again all you guys who got accepted got big envelopes right?

I got in!!! I’m in Nevada and it was there when I got home!

Here is another USPS map for first class mail, which I believe they are sending them through, rather than priority. Based on the map most people should be getting them tomorrow.

That is a good map - looks like Monday for NY is likely - but you never know with the post office.

Is anyone else a lot more worried right now? As a student with a 4.0 and 34 on the act I went from hoping I get in to hoping I don’t get flat out rejected!

Southern Cal…
My son is deferred.
But I am still glad the notice came today instead of tomorrow.
I was so nervous all day and really couldn’t concentrate on anything.

gus1996 Thank you for the very nice reply! This is such a stressful process and I sincerely hope that you get get your letter soon and it’s happy news!

Upstate NY here: 3 classmates received their rejection letters yesterday (Friday), but another classmate and I have yet to receive anything! Weirding me out…

^ Western NY here. Same exact thing with me. I know 4 people who received either deferral or rejection letters yesterday (no acceptances thus far). VERY weird.

@cengel1996 I was just accepted with a 4.0 and a 34! Don’t worry too much! It will all work out.

They are sent first class, not priority

DS received his acceptance in the mail yesterday! Surprised that Chicago area didn’t receive theirs before he did. Very happy for him. Good luck to all, there should be lots getting mail today!

It certainly seems as though rejections and deferrals are circulating faster than acceptances… My friend in Orlando received a rejection yesterday, while apparently some in Chicago still haven’t heard.

Probably just how the postal service handles mail. I expect the rejections and deferrals are in a regular business envelope and acceptances are in an 8.5 x 11 inch envelope. The bigger stuff may just be handled more slowly.
No news in NYC suburbs. Maybe today.

Mail delivery is just random. The first son’s small deferral letter took four days to reach NY.

Susysmom I am so happy for you and your D…CONGRATS !!!

Just got Mail in NE Ohio! Ive been accepted. Im so excited you have no idea!
