Notre Dame Email

Hello, everyone. So, I visited Notre Dame this year, but I want to make a new email just for college stuff. I also visited Case Western, Northwestern, and Kenyon College under this email. If I contact their admissions offices, would I be able to have that information transferred over to my new email? Thanks!

I don’t see why not.

As an FYI creating a throwaway email just for the college admissions process is one that I highly recommend. It helps to ensure that stuff doesn’t get lost with your regular email or clog your regular email. Still, make sure to check the spam folder from time to time.

@skieurope I’ve sent my regional officer multiple emails (over the past two months), and he does not reply to them… What should I do?

I’m not sure that sending the regional officer an email on this subject was the way to go. I think sending an email to admissions@nd.edu should do the trick.

@skieurope No, I mean I contacted him regarding extracurriculars and religious life. I also asked about an event coming up. I asked him, because I sent Northwestern an email, and they got into contact with almost immediately. Thank you for the advice! I will send it now.

ND regional reps are known for being very involved and being quite honest whether a specific applicant should apply EA or wait for regular decision. Is it possible you don’t have the correct email address, or the person is no longer with ND Admissions?

@Midwestmomofboys I don’t think so? He still shows up on the Notre Dame page, and I directly copied his email to send it. I thought it was kind of weird, because all of the admissions offices that I have contacted have been very direct about information.

@ab2002 Did you use this page? https://admissions.nd.edu/connect/find-your-counselor/

When you click on your state, it brings you to a profile for your admissions counselor. There is a link provided to email that person, which sets up the email for you with address already included. No need to copy anything. (You mentioned you directly copied his email to send it, so I’m wondering if you were looking at something else).

If that doesn’t work, I would call the main admissions office in South Bend and confirm the contact info is still correct. Hopefully there’s a good reason, because what you are describing sounds very unusual for Notre Dame.

@waitingmomla Yes, it’s the same email…

@ab2002 Then I would just call the main admissions office. Classes are already in session, so everyone is there, offices are back in full swing. Just confirm with them that the contact info is still correct. Sometimes odd things happen. Maybe ND forgot to update the site with new info. Maybe the rep has a personal issue going on. You never know. It’s great that you’re being proactive with the process, good luck to you!

@waitingmomla Thank you! I will contact them now. :slight_smile:

Yes, very good idea to create a throwaway email address

@ab2002, are you in the midwest? I wonder if your AO is the same one as my daughters had. They each emailed him about a specific issue and he never replied to them. It was weird because most AOs seem to be good about responding. They both were admitted so don’t see it as a negative sign if he doesn’t respond.
