Highly considering doing RD for Notre Dame as that is my dream school… however my stats are pretty weak in testing (1430 SAT, SAT II - (Bio E 700) (Math I 670) yet I have taken rigorous academics (8 APs, 4.25 GPA) as well as have a strong portfolio with several awards, and some strong ECS with officer positions related to art to apply to the architectural school. I also have good essays and recommendations, yet I’m afraid my test scores might be too much of an obstacle.
Since Notre Dame is a reach, and REA is more competitive, I’m waiting for RD. My second choice school is Northeastern, which is also a bit of a reach but has EA, ED, and EDII. Instead of risking my chances for being rejected at both, should I just apply ED to NEU to boost my chance for admission to my 2nd choice school, or apply EA to Northeastern and RD for Notre Dame and not use ED on any schools? Much thanks.
If Notre Dame is your dream school, I don’t think applying ED is a good idea. If you get accepted ED, you will forever wonder.
Here is one option that may be better: Apply REA to Notre Dame, and if you get rejected, you can EDII to Northeastern. If you get deferred from REA, then you can apply RD to Northeastern still.
If you choose to ED, make sure the school is affordable regardless of aid package.
Idk if you want to submit SAT IIs to NEU because it isnt required but i think if you are rejected there(i think you a strong candidate) there is no point in applying to notre dame unless you want to. ED is a good option at NEU if you can afford tuition. You can always do REA Notre Dame and EA NEU. That is my opinion
