I will post this in the USC forum as well, cause let's be honest, everyone can be a little biased :) but can we get a nice, polite (hahaha) comparison between the two institutions and what is great about both, and not so great; what one has over the other and what not. I will be majoring in business and want to know which one will set me up best if I put in the work obviously. Thanks!!

To consider: ND’s Mendoza College of Business has been rated as the top undergraduate business program for the last three years by BusinessWeek.

I’m not familiar with USC, but ND has a unique culture. All dorms are single-sex and there is no Greek life. Social activity revolves around the house system. The Catholic lineage of the university plays a huge role in the culture in many other ways as well.

The climate is also starkly different. Personally, I prefer enjoying all four seasons instead of the perpetual sun of LA, but I grew up a Midwesterner so I am biased.

I was accepted to both, also a business major. USC screwed me over on financial aid and there entire FA process was a huge hassle- they asked ridiculously detailed questions while ND was straightforward but they still gave me a crap offer. Needless to say I chose ND. I feel the ND name carries much more prestige than USC, where I’m from in upstate NY few ppl have even heard of USC- it seems like a more regional school. Anyways the cultures at the 2 schools are completely opposite so consider which you’d prefer. Quality wise both are great, although the great alumni network and connections you can make at ND are better than USC without a doubt.

Another point you might consider is that USC is like 40% Asian, and from what I heard they kind of cut themselves off into their own social bubble- not the best thing IMO since there is so many of them there
