I realize I have no chance of admission, but I’m getting nervous for decisions just because miracles do happen xD.
Sorry guys. Yes, absolutely you can be rejected REA, but you will not be waitlisted. You could be deferred and then waitlisted but not in the REA round. My UW GPA is a 4.0 W 4.33. I really don’t believe that transcript line means anything significant, but even if it did, I think it’s definitely a more positive sign. But we won’t know until around Monday
got my email yesterday at 7:30 pm
Where does it say Monday on the Portal @Barcelona97531
@User1555 It doesn’t say it on the portal. That’s just the date/time it has been released the last two years.
@Barcelona97531 Alright, that’s what I figured you meant. Hopefully it is then
Is there any possibility decisions can be released before monday?
What if we didn’t get the message about semester grades and end of the year that disappeared? Would this mean rejection?
Anything/everything is possible. No one outside of ND has any idea when decisions will come out.
FYI, ND has only done electronic decisions for the prior two years. So there’s precious little precedent to base speculations on. Fwiw, in 2015, the email was Mon 12/7 and decisions were seven days later on Mon 12/14. In 2016, email was Wed 12/7 and decisions were five days later on Mon 12/12.
Absolutely no guarantee that Monday will be the day.
@northwesty what do you think about all the comments on here about the semester grades and final grade report? People are making predictions regarding this. I’m one who didn’t receive this, and now I’m nervous it means rejection.
What if you already sent mid term grades? We didn’t get message about grades but had sent grades bc we are on semesters and had the grade snap shot sent to all schools. My son called admissions and they said to send it.
I’m thinking if you got that line, then it would mean an acceptance. If you’re accepted and enroll, they will ask you to send your seventh semester and end of year transcripts as all colleges do.
So if there wasn’t that line it would mean rejection?
@golf111 I really don’t think you can draw conclusions from it.
Curious to know how long that transcript line was up before someone took it down.
You can absolutely be accepted in RD f you are deferred REA. My daughter was deferred then accepted last year. She had a 34 ACT W gpa 4.20 with strong references and EC. I truly believe she was accepted because of her follow up post deferral. She made them aware of additional awards such as scholar athlete in her fall sport, but her follow up email was definitely something that the Admissions Counselor probably hadn’t seen before. ND is doing a wonderful daily reflection during advent. Even if your not Catholic I would watch them. They are truly reflective of ND. If you are deferred you just might find something to include in that follow up letter.
I honestly do think the transcript line means acceptance because they wouldn’t ask for the end of year report if it was just a deferral. Whereas for the rest of us… IDK
I did not get a transcript line… I am quite nervous
@DDHH2017 that is what I am thinking as well… this makes me very anxious
Lol well it looks like we figured it out y’all. If you got a line requesting that you send transcripts, you’re most likely accepted. Those of us who didn’t, at least we found out earlier.
