If you attend the Summer Scholars program at Notre Dame, will that help with admission to the college in the fall? Does anyone have any stats of how many Summer Scholar attendees actually get accepted to Notre dame?
Hello! Attending Summer Scholars does not give you an advantage during the application process. It does show interest in Notre Dame, which may help, but in general the Office of Pre-College Programs makes it clear that attending Summer Scholars shouldn’t be done with the hope of better general-admission chances.
If you ever attend the Leadership Seminar, however, that will actually put you in a good spot to be accepted as an undergraduate. Different programs, different results, same great experience.

Horario: My daughter is a high school junior who will apply for the Leadership Seminar. Is there anything in particular she should focus on in her application?
They say that it doesn’t help with admissions but I’d say that if you have shown that much interest and they see that you’re dedicated to learning at Notre Dame, you do probably have an advantage.
