Is now up. http://admissions.nd.edu/assets/44318/ndsupplement_201210_web.pdf

Wait…for real? I checked yesterday and couldn’t find info about when it would be up. COLLEGE APPS BEGIN NOW AHHHHHHHH

Edit: but it’s a PDF, not “interactive” yet…I realize that’s pretty much the same but saves the excitement/stress of “OMG ENTERING INFORMATION FOR COLLEGE. WHAT’S MY NAME AGAIN? WHERE DO I LIVE?”

Essay #4. Oh god

Essay four is by far the easiest to brainstorm but the hardest to pick the best topic.

I wrote two weird ones and it didn’t hinder my admissions. I think they want people to choose #4.

The problem for me with #4 is that I realllly want to go over the top with it, but I’ve had mixed reviews with the essay response that I’ve shared most because they say that it’s too risky.

It’s nothing morally offensive either.

Good luck class of 2016 (from a class of 2015 student)! Don’t worry about what you think they want to see, write about what’s important to you, no matter how risky you think it is. Even if it’s workers’ revolution or the IRA (yes, I was also surprised that they were cool with that). I hope to see some of you there next year.

☘

And so it begins… Good luck boys and girls, hopefully I’ll be seeing you in South Bend next fall.

I know nobody has posted here for a few weeks… but @DolorousEdd, is the IRA actually fine to talk about? Oddly enough I’d been considering discussing that for essay number 4.

They say take a risk. You don’t want to come across as a terrorist (or racist, sexist, etc)- but they do want you to take a risk.
