Notre Dame vs. UPenn

I just thought i’d post (for the first time) b’c I’m kind of the exact opposite… I was between ND, U Penn, and Berkeley (I’m from California) for Engineering. I wasn’t crazy about the idea of staying in cali, so i was between ND and U Penn. If I could do it over… I would go to U Penn. Everyone told me (back in Cali) that if I was going to live in the midwest ND would be very well respected. But i’m living in the midwest and I have people from damn Michigan State talking down to me.

That said I have a high paying job and a few friends out of ND… so I guess I didn’t completely ■■■ up my life. But it would be nice to be like “ivy league? what what?”

Yeah, those are the kind of people who would “talk down to you” no matter where else you went (besides their school).

So these things matter less than a couple cocky people from another school making a fuss to feel better about themselves.

Yes, I’m sure you would have been much better off if your school was in the Ivy League Sports Conference. Though many people associate Penn with a state school, insult it as a “lesser Ivy” (whatever that’s supposed to mean), and will always think their school is better.

^Hahaha great post
Despite my previous posts strongly supporting ND, I decided to go to Duke following a waitlist acceptance. ND is awesome; Duke’s just a better fit for me.

Good dilimna. No worry, ND or Ivies. They are all very good. Just pick the best that good fit you will do.
