You got your LOR from soccer coach, not from your core subject teachers???

He was my soccer coach as well as my math teacher @paul2752‌

@‌Johndog19 For the last year? Your recs, generally, should be from an English and Math teacher that taught you during your junior year.

Yes during my senior year @MandarinSin‌

@Johndog19‌ Sorry about that, I meant junior year. If he is writing you a letter of recommendation without having had you for a year it is pretty shady…

@MandarinSin‌ He’s known me for a while though so I think it’s fine

Actually, it’s OK to ask for your teachers’ rec even though he/she didnt teach u for senior year.
Not many students have a same teacher fir 3 years. None of people around did.

Yeah that’s true thanks @paul2752‌ can somebody actually chance me though?

Low reach/highmatch

I’d say it’s a Low-Mid Reach, you have some cool awards but none that are very competitive or stand out, and those SAT II’s will hurt you. Also, even though your courseload is the max at your high school it still seems a little bit lacking; only eight College/AP classes; however, your ACT score and GPA are good and those awards are cool too!

How do you manage to put 25 hours a week in working, probably10 volunteering, 60 in school and studying and probably 20 per week in sports and not die? That’s 120 or so hours and you only have 168 in a week. Awesome stuff tho!

Overall: Low Reach

Thanks! I sent the SAT II’s in before I knew my scores and I regret that I did. Do you think they will negatively impact me or will they just disregard them? Thankfully all of my extracurriculars fit together nicely though and they vary from day to day so it’s not as bad as it seems. @MandarinSin‌

Did you hear yet? I hope things went well for you. The Legacy part helps. Otherwise, it is incredibly competitive. They said thousands applied that were in the top 1% both in test scores and class rank, and half of those were turned away. My son was accepted, but now we have to figure out how to pay for it. He probably stood out because he has the unusual skill of being a pipe organist. All the best to you!
