When do the small liberal arts schools send out decisions for EA? Do they wait until mid December? Or do they review and send decision asap? Going to be a long 6 weeks or so!
The answers in your other thread apply to this one.
There is no universal release date that I am aware of (other than Ivy Day in Mar/Apr) or universal practice across LACs. You should look this up on each school’s website. As stated in your other thread, many schools initially post the expected decision date as “mid-December” or “mid-January” on their websites, then update that to a specific date closer to that time once they have a better idea of when they can complete the application reviews.
And yes! The waiting is the hardest part!
Edit: Anecdotally, sometimes there are surprises. Last year Furman released EA in mid January, which is when my D received her decision. However, there were a handful of surprise acceptances Thanksgiving weekend, which one of her friends received. When it was all said and done, they received the exact same merit scholarship so I’m not sure what determined who received the early notification.
