Nov 5 2011 *Official SAT Thread*

yeah I agree. although the last question which was askin x/y killed me i forgot simple math xD

@skorpuis… i didn’t get any of those O.O

ok guys, this is weird.

Skorpius7- same test!

Nihility, I did have the tectonic plates passage.

I didn’t get a single one of skorpuis’s either.

@Skorpius7- same test!

Wait where is everyone located? Stick to your time zone, for security purposes… maybe they got tricky this year. Im east coast.

Clearly there were two completely different tests…
Is this new or is it this way every time?

I am eastern as well, yet we had different tests haha.
Maryland to be specific.

Do we want to have a new thread? Like for each thread?

New york here… I had tectonic, track, political negativeness text. thats all i can remember with my bad memory.

yup…there was two versions apparantly…
east coast too

Did anyone have the individual vs. group passage?

I had 4 CR sections
the last one was 20 minutes, it was about negative ad campaigning
I also had one on Tectonic Plates

I dont think I’ve ever heard of 2 completely different tests… I truly hope they’re curving it differently, this doesnt seem fair at all.

@sg… nope.

collegeboard gone wild!!! ;D :D:D:D

@sweetnsour yeah i had one about group vs individual

My passages were:

Individual vs. group (individual conforms to group opinion)

Tectonic plates

Negative political campaigning

Narrative about the man and woman meeting and subsequently marrying

@sweetnsour
I had 4 CR too…
and the only one we have in common is the individual vs. group

Individual v group is definitely experimental. The other three I had the same. 4 Maths though if I remember right.
I agree that this doesn’t seem fair. My test seemed easier this time then the other two times I’ve taken the SAT

So far, nine different critical reading sections have been mentioned.
